I base my practice on the following principles:

1. Legal decisions do not occur in a vacuum. Decisions regarding legal matters can impact multiple aspects of your life as well as that of your family, and career. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how much knowledge I have of legal strategy, how many clients I’ve served or where I went to law school, I’m not the one that will be responsible for the consequences of a decision . . . you are.  Often times, lawyers seem to feel the need to impress their clients with their credentials while providing a one-size-fits-all solution. I believe that my job is to listen to you, and then help you make the right decisions for you, your family, and your dreams.
2. A flat fee structure builds stronger relationships. The traditional bill by the hour method of the legal profession hampers the development of any true, long lasting relationship. Clients are concerned about surprise invoices for fees far higher than they expected, or fear calling or emailing their attorney for fear of what that might cost.  I perform all work for a flat-fee that will be discussed with you upfront during a free initial consultation. We will work together to develop a fee that corresponds to your specific needs. This fee will also provide for your ability to call or email with questions without an additional bill. 3. Legal Representation should enhance the amount and quality of time you can dedicate to more important matters. At a time when, for many of us, obligations to children, family, and business seem to be growing at an enormous rate, finding time for you can be hard enough. As a result the more complicated and time consuming decisions often get put off until absolutely necessary. Sometimes until it’s too late.  Proper legal planning should make it as easy as possible for individuals to plan for their future as much as possible and provide ready access to a lawyer when those unanticipated moments do arise. I work with clients to ensure that our meetings are as convenient as possible, often times meeting them either at their home or in their neighborhood.  Lastly, as your life changes, so do your legal considerations. I have restricted the amount of new clients I accept to ensure that I am available to help you maintain and adjust your legal plans to your changing life. When necessary, we will schedule free regular reviews of your plans to ensure that they continue to meet your legal needs.
